Freedom of speech scores a win after a radical leftist organization is forced to close down following allegations of illegally colluding with the US government to censor conservative media, including One America News. OAN’s Pearson Sharp reports.

Transcript:

Thanks to patriots like Ohio Congressmen Jim Jordan, some of the worst offenders against our freedom of speech are now facing the consequences of their lies.

The Stanford Internet Observatory—one of the most radical media organizations that pushes extreme leftist disinformation, is shutting down for good.

The unhinged founding director, Alex Stamos, left last November, and it’s been falling apart since then.

This is a bigger story than it might appear, because the Stanford Internet Observatory isn’t just your ordinary, run-of-the-mill leftist watchdog: they were one of the premier weapons in the Democrats’ arsenal against free speech, collaborating with the government to shut down freedom of the press.

In fact, the observatory has been sued no less than three times over complaints it was illegally colluding with the federal government.

Not only that, but they were directly involved in efforts to censor One America News.

We have proof from a House Judiciary Committee’s report that university students at the Stanford Internet Observatory were working at both the Department of Homeland Security, and the George Soros-funded Election Integrity Partnership at the same time.

The House panel—spearheaded by Jim Jordan—released a 103-page report detailing how the “Election Integrity Partnership” was working hand in hand with DHS’s “Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Agency,” known as “CISA,” to censor news and information online.

Including our reports here at One America News.

In their official investigation, Congress pointed out that Stamos called his Election Integrity Partnership a “one-stop shop for local election officials, DHS, and voter protection organizations” to work directly with social media platforms to censor the speech of American political candidates and commentators.”

This proves the government was collaborating with private organizations to censor free speech.

Listen for a second to this unbelievable exchange between a Trump-hating director at the DHS, Chris Krebs, and Alex Stamos—the head of both the Stanford Internet Observatory and the Election Integrity Partnership—as they discuss why Americans shouldn’t be allowed to choose what news they watch.

Alex Stamos: “People have so much choice now. They can choose what their news sources are. They can choose what influencers they want to follow and they can try to seal out anything that helps them question that. And I think that gets to a really core issue with how our freedoms as Americans in the way we have treated press freedom in the past is being abused by these actors in that we have given a lot of leeway both in the traditional media and on social media to people to have a very broad range of political views.”

What they’re saying, in case you missed it, is they think people have too many choices when it comes to where we get our news.

But it gets worse.

Alex Stamos: “We are going to have to figure out the OAN and Newsmax problem. These companies have freedom of speech, but I’m not sure we need Verizon, AT&T, Comcast and such bringing them into tens of millions of homes.”

Did you catch that?

“We are going to have to figure out the OAN problem…”

Just to be clear: To these people—to our government, One America News is a “problem” that has to be “figured out.”

If that doesn’t send chills down your spine, then you have no concept of the gravity of that statement.

He’s literally saying that yes, while OAN technically has “freedom of speech”—a fact he hates—that doesn’t mean the government shouldn’t pressure media companies to stop carrying our channel.

For the good of the country.

But in a sign of just how bad things are, Stamos wasn’t the only one calling for our censorship.

Just after the November election, four US senators jumped onboard the censorship wagon, calling for government crackdowns on election “misinformation.”

Democrats Robert Menendez, Mazie Hirono, Gary Peters, and Amy Klobuchar, all conspired with Big Tech to have One America News banned from sharing our reports online.

Around the same time, more members of our government—Democrat representatives Anna Eshoo and Jerry McNerney—sent a mafia-style letter to AT&T, demanding they shut down OAN for “public safety.”

And what do you know: in February of 2022, that’s exactly what AT&T did, dropping OAN from its lineup.

Six months later, Verizon followed suit and dropped us as well.

Sen. Rand Paul: “And most people in broadcast media would be horrified by that. And yet that’s what was going on for years, particularly under the Biden administration. But even dating back to 9/11, a lot of this stuff has been welling up over time that the government thinks they have the right to police speech.”

Whether you agree with us or not, whether you’re a liberal or a conservative, you must see the problem with the US government violating the Constitution to eliminate freedom of the press.

This is radicalized censorship, and it’s authorized, sanctioned, and supported by our own government.

When every major organization and federal agency is fighting to silence networks like OAN, then you know they’re not just trying to censor us, they’re trying to deceive you.

Proudly speaking for the still free press, and for One America News, I’m Pearson Sharp.
